The Fastest Man on Earth – Former Land Speed Record Holder and Project Leader Richard Noble will be in attendance on Sunday. The Bloodhound SSC will be on display both Saturday and Sunday. Try your skills at driving at 1,000 mph in the specially designed simulator and meet the team behind the 135,000 bhp Bloodhound.
It is the 50th Anniversary of Irishman Paddy Hopkirk winning the Monte Carlo rally in a Mini Cooper S. In 2005 Paddy was honoured with a place in Irish Sport’s Hall of Fame and in 2010, Hopkirk was among the first four inductees into the Rally Hall of Fame along with Mäkinen, Rauno Aaltonen and Erik Carlsson.
The Royal Irish Automobile Club, founded in 1901, organised Ireland’s first Motor Shows in 1907 and 1908 and promise an “unparalleled line-up of all types of classic, post-vintage, vintage, veteran and antique cars as well as motorbikes displays” at the Carole Nash RIAC Classic Car Show on 1 – 2 March 2014.
